About us

How it began

Nimāra Reformer Pilates was born from Maud’s passion for movement and more than a decade in high-end hospitality and yachting. Originally from France, she has called Mallorca home for the past seven years. Years of travelling and working around the world shaped her eye for thoughtful service, beautiful spaces and the small details that make people feel welcome.

The studio

Nimāra is a calm and intimate studio in the heart of Santa Catalina. With only six Reformers, classes feel personal and relaxed, giving our instructors the time to guide and connect with everyone.

Every part of the studio reflects the same attention to detail. Maud visited the Elina Pilates factory in Spain to see how the Reformers are made and meet the people behind them. Back in Mallorca, she worked with local craftspeople to design the space, bespoke furniture and signage, all made on the island especially for Nimāra.

The name

The name Nimāra comes from the Arabic namira, the leopardess, a nod to Mallorca’s Moorish heritage. Jack at Faro Creative found it after a long search for a name that would read well in every language our clients speak. The leopardess is an image of strength, independence, dependability, athleticism and fierceness. She gave us our symbol, and her grace and movement are at the heart of the studio.

The team

Maud leads the studio, with Alexandra and Victoria teaching alongside her.
